- "Piercing Healing Q&A" added to the Piercing Care page. If you would like to see a question posted, please send it to me at my e-mail.
- I know I mentioned to more than a few of you that we will have a larger display case in the new shop. And we will! A few of you came in to check it out already, but we haven't had the time to work on it yet, so please hang tight.
Thanks!

A BIT ABOUT THE PIERCER____________________________________________________
Despite any assumptions that I'm from elsewhere, I was born and raised on the south/south-west of this beautiful island. ; ) My body piercing interest arose at around the time of high school, and I am thankful for my parents allowing me to get my very first body piercing (my eyebrow) when I was 15. Now-a-days having a piercing in high school is not so uncommon, but back then, it was! Since then, my admiration for the art has only grown. Why should we not have the privilege to adorn ourselves in the way we see fit? Whatever it may be -- with tattoos, piercings, or other types of body modification... As long as you're happy with what you see in the mirror. That is what's important.
So, it was a pleasant surprise to be given the opportunity to learn the craft of body piercing from an awesome professional who goes by the name
Julian Ganesha. Julian hails from Fresno, CA, and has been piercing professionally for about 16 years.
In September 2009, Julian came to Kaua'i to teach me proper piercing techniques and sterile practice. While he was here, we ended up doing about 150 piercings on residents and visitors alike! The chance to work so close with a professional on that many piercees was a blessing. I thank everyone who came out to get pierced. You have done the body piercing community here a great favor by offering yourselves to proper body mod education.
Personally, I
have already done a few hundred body piercings, and continue to pierce at Farsyde Tattoo. I still have much to learn, as I cannot do any below-the-belt piercings or surface piercings, other than microdermal anchors. But my experience with what body piercings I am familiar with has been great. The next time Julian comes to town, I hope a few of you will come out, get pierced, and give me the chance to learn more varied body piercings. : )
My deepest appreciation goes out to Julian, who shared with me his many years of knowledge and continues to be a great mentor to me. It is important to us that you get a quality piercing that you're happy with.
