Jarod Powell is a resident artist and was raised on the east and north of Kaua'i from the young age of 5.  At the age of 17 he decided tattooing was his path, and began his apprenticeship.  Shortly after, he moved to California for a handful of years and tattooed out of various shops, building on his skill and style.  After about a decade of tattooing under his belt, he moved back to Kaua'i and opened up Farsyde Tattoo in 2007.  Jarod has now been tattooing for about 13 years, and remains the proud and passionate owner of Farsyde Tattoo on his home island of Kaua'i.

Aside from tattooing, his other passions in life include photography, painting, hiking and diving, and any other outlet for creativity & recreation.
